Meet Kristin Sanchez

Kristin Sanchez joined NBC 6 in May, 2018 as the morning news and traffic anchor on NBC 6 Today weekdays from 4:30 AM to 7 AM.

Kristin is trusted by NBC 6 South Florida viewers for her knowledge and expertise of the community and roads. During the coronavirus pandemic, Kristin anchored and reported the morning news during one of the most unprecedented times in the country. Her coverage and continued service to the community was recognized by the Fort Lauderdale Magazine as she was voted the Best Morning News Anchorwoman for the past three consecutive years.

Kristin comes to NBC 6 from CBS affiliate WINK in Fort Myers, Florida, where she served as news reporter for two years and most recently as traffic anchor. Prior to this, she has held producer positions at NBC Sports’ Golf Channel and ABC affiliate WFTV in Orlando, Florida. Sanchez moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina from Orlando where she served as weekend reporter at NBC affiliate WMBF.

Kristin earned her Bachelor’s degree in Print, Broadcast and Online Media from Florida Southern College. Currently, Kristin is pursuing her Master’s Degree at University of Florida’s College of Journalism and Communications.

Born and raised in New York, Kristin is happy to call South Florida home. In fact, when she’s not working, you’ll see her volunteering her time at a number of organizations like Arc Broward, National Pediatric Cancer Foundation in South Florida and Rebuilding Together Broward County.
